Highlights
A fantastic opportunity to rent an easily-accessible chalet within walking distance of the village centre and the ski lift, La Tzoumaz Chalet Cabana Luna has three bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs and a fourth bedroom off the mezzanine overlooking the living area. The chalet has recently been updated to include a full alpine spa experience, with private access to a sauna, cold bath and traditional alpine bath. It is surrounded by trees and with a rear-facing, peaceful garden. The views from the living room are stunning and you can truly sink into the mountain atmosphere with family or friends around the fireplace.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms
the chalet sleeps up to 10 people as follows:

Bedroom 1 = On the lower floor, double bed (160 x 200cm), wardrobe, chair, window with views across the valley

Bedroom 3 = On the lower floor, two double bunk beds (140 x 200cm sleeping a total of 4 people), shelving, chair, window with great views across the valley
Mezzanine area = Accessed by a steep, open wooden ladder from the living room, this open space with views over the dining area is equipped with TV and sofa.  Up here is also a small bedroom with 2 single beds. The ceiling is low-height and there is no wardrobe.  The windows overlook the garden at the rear of the chalet.  Please note that due to the steep access ladder the mezzanine area and the mezzanine bedroom are not suitable for babies or young children.

La Tzoumaz Chalet Cabana Luna is equipped with a high chair and a folding travel cot (bedding not provided) suitable for children under 2 years old, and a second is available on demand on arrival.  Please note that in accordance with the manufacturer's safety instructions, additional mattresses are not provided with the cots.

Equipment
The main floor of this large chalet is an open kitchen/living/dining area with stove fireplace and mountain views. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need for family catering, including a dishwasher, kettle, toaster, fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, electric filter coffee machine, oven and ceramic hob. There are fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. A portable outdoor barbecue is available for you to use. The electric heating can be adjusted for your comfort by the thermostats in the living areas. There is plenty of space in the entrance hall to store all of your mountain clothes and ski boots, helping you to keep all your snow-sports clothing and equipment dry and organised. There is a utility room with washing machine and separate dryer. 

Relaxing
Coming home after a great day in the mountains, it’s hard not to relax when you are surrounded by La Tzoumaz’ stunning panoramic views and pretty snowflakes gently drifting past the window. To enhance this, you will also enjoy exclusive access to a private mini spa, complete with a soothing sauna, invigorating cold plunge, and an authentic Alpine hot bath - a luxurious retreat designed to relax, rejuvenate, and elevate your mountain escape. In summer, the birdsong from the surrounding forests is  On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, from the floor of the Rhone Valley up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond, and in the other direction towards the legendary Vallon d’Arby and its un-pisted ski itinerary. Take a seat in a comfy chair with a glass of local wine in the early evening. If you are in need of distraction, the mezzanine area has a TV and some books. In summer, it's a real pleasure to fire up the barbecue for lunch in the garden, and there is a covered, side terrace with picnic bench.

Pets
We would be delighted to welcome your pets to Chalet Cabana Luna. Please note that in order to cover supplementary cleaning costs, pets are charged at a rate of 50chf payable on arrival. If you are travelling with more than one large or two small dogs, please contact us to ensure we will be able to accommodate them.

Access and Parking
The chalet is situated over some private garages on the road that passes through the village centre, so access is easy all year round. There is parking for one car in front of the rightmost garage.  On the other side of the road is a public parking bay where further spaces can be found. Steps lead up from the parking spaces to the lower floor of the chalet and the entrance door.  Winter tyres and/or snow chains necessary in winter due to frequent snowfalls on the road up to the village. At least one car is advisable in both summer and winter.  Contact us for railway or airport transfers.

Winter
There is a free skibus that stops just outside the chalet in winter during operating hours of the ski-lifts. The main Savoleyres telecabin is less than a kilometre from the chalet and so it is possible to either take the free ski bus two stops to the telecabin, or walk uphill through the village. Of course the walk home is much easier as it is downhill at the end of the day. If you wish to access the beginner slopes you can either take the bus further up, or drive and park up at the Etablons bar.

The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.

Summer
In the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Try not to miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.

For families
The centre of La Tzoumaz benefits from an outdoor ice-skating rink in winter, and a children's playground area in summer, with a rope-based agility park alongside more traditional equipment such as slides.  A fun channel system with running water is built into the hillside to provide plenty of entertainment for older children too. 

At the exit of the village the Domus playground is a fabulous spot, often bathed in late afternoon sunshine, with swings, a zipline, see-saw, climbing frames and even old tractors to clamber on.  It is overlooked by an outdoor cafe (check opening hours) providing drinks, snacks and ice-creams. There are rabbits, donkeys, goats, and there is also rock-climbing on the local crag in the background (contact us for equipment and instructors).

The Maison de la Foret has a cafe area for drinks and snacks (check opening hours), wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail with hands-on activities to borrow such as bird-whistling and learning to draw. The Nature Trail has disabled parking and is accessible to wheelchairs and children's buggies.

Right at the top of the village is the "Defis de la Riviere", which is equipped as an outdoor physical challenge area for older kids on the river.  There are sensory walking areas for younger children and a basket swing, and also a picnic spot nearby.  

A short drive down the valley takes you to the large lake at the Parc des Iles, with its playgrounds, high-ropes park, minigolf, restaurant, miniature train and more. 

Booking details
The total price is composed of a one-off non-variable cost (per booking) to cover final cleaning, bed-linen and towels, and other one-off fees, plus a nightly rental rate (per night) and nightly tourist taxes (per adult/child and per night), plus website fees (site-specific).

This total price includes the following:

- tourist taxes for the number of adults/children stated at time of enquiry/booking. Please note that due to the inclusion of tourist taxes in the calculation, the price varies according to the number of people who will stay. Adults are classed as over 16 years, and children from 6 to 15 years. At the time of booking there is no need to declare (or pay for) children under 6 years old on the date of travel, however please mention them in the "Special Requests" box so that we can include them in our arrival preparations.
- free summer lift passes for the number of adults/children stated at time of booking (early July to late August)
- the opportunity to buy discounted ski lessons (15%) and rental (15%) and have them ready for your arrival (conditions apply) after booking a winter holiday with us (December to April).

Not included in the price:
- On arrival we will ask for a credit card pre-authorisation for use in case of breakage unpaid at departure (up to 1000 CHF). The deposit will be cancelled when no unpaid damage is found after your departure.
- Firewood (22 CHF per 20-25kg crate from the agency, or from the supermarket.
- Dog cleaning fees are not included (50CHF per dog per stay)
- Only the exit cleaning is included in the base price so if you wish to have extra cleaning during your stay then this can be arranged on request.
- Bedding and towels are provided for your arrival. If you require an extra set of bedding and towels during your stay then this can be arranged for 22CHF per person.
- Standard arrival is from 16h00, and departure is by 10h00. Early Arrival from 14h00 can be purchased up to one week in advance of Saturday arrivals in winter and peak summertime.

We operate a strictly "first-paid = first-reserved" basis for bookings which means we cannot guarantee availability beyond what you see on this online booking portal and so we recommend you confirm within 48h in order to secure the reservation. Free cancellation* for any reason within 7 days of booking.  

 – More than 90 days before arrival – 95% refund
 – From 30 to 90 days before arrival – 70% refund** 
 – Less than 30 days before arrival – 10% refund**

*Please note that our refund policies do not cover the fees paid to any booking website, as these fees are beyond our control so we can only refund based on 100% of the price you paid if you book directly with 4vallees4saisons, and otherwise the refund of booking site fees must be requested separately from the booking site. 

**If we are able to resell the holiday to another client, we can increase your refund to a maximum of 85%, depending on the resale amount achieved.
